We Can Help

The Historic Virginia Chapter of the American Red Cross provides around the clock emergency services to our members of the military and their families. We utilize the latest technologies to send emergency messages to military members stationed around the world. We offer this service seven days a week, 365 days a year.

We know that the members of our Armed Forces and their families encounter lots of stress due to separation during deployments. When emergency situations arise, such as the serious illness of a loved one, a death in the family, financial difficulties or other events that create a crisis for the family and the service member, the Red Cross is there to help.

We offer briefings to deploying members of our Armed Forces and their family members to provide information about the services they can expect from their local Red Cross. All services are FREE and made available to active duty and community-based military members, veterans and their loved ones. Whether it is a need to verify information for a military command to assist in making a decision on a leave request, providing emergency communications, emergency financial assistance, counseling or veteran services, your Historic Virginia Chapter staff can help.
